1. The duration of the course is a maximum of 6 months or 75 man-hours (60 hours of learning and 15 hours of practice).
2. Since this is completely a self-learning course (with timely guidance from experienced Saurashtri teachers), the time taken by the students may vary depending upon their quick grasp of the lessons and the following exercises. A brilliant student may complete the course in 40 hours too.
3. The “Prarambha Igini” has three parts:

• alphabet writing and practice
• vocabulary development and practice
• study and appreciation of famous Saurashtri poets/ writers.

(All three parts together will take 60 “class” hours)

4. Alphabet writing is taught through animation videos. It will be very easy to view and learn how to write each letter. Writing each letter by hand in a notebook is a MUST to get the whole  Saurashtri alphabet well registered in mind.
5. Except for a few rarely used letters, lots of words for each “varg” (ka, ca, Ta, ta, etc.) are included in the vocabulary section. Mastering such vocabulary with meanings will enable the student to write real Saurashtri with unprecedented fluency.
6. Reading the great literary works of our ancestors will give the learner both a chaste “feel” of our mother-tongue and also the greatness of our distinct culture.
7. A separate section added at the end, “Spoken Saurashtri”, teaches how to form Saurashtri sentences with a variety of question words and how to answer them.
8. After each part (alphabet, vocabulary and literature) there will be an internal test to check the competencies the student has developed. And the final exam. will be for three hours.
9. ALL TESTS AND THE FINAL EXAM WILL BE HANDWRITTEN – IN “SAURASHTRA LIPI” ONLY.
10. A nominal fee of Rs. 100/- ($2 for learners from abroad) is collected for registration. The course contents can be accessed only after the payment and the receipt of an admission number.
